I have hero car 2, set car #8.1 from the 4th Fast and Furious film driven by Paul Walker. This car was used in driving scenes, light stunt scenes and many other scenes that would incur minimal damage to the car since it was one of the hero cars. The car was actually a GTT cloned to a GT-R. They used this style so they could drift and slide the car around more easily since it was RWD instead of AWD. I purchased the car and it had been painted on set a couple times and the car was in pretty rough condition. Some of the parts had been removed as well. Since Paul's tragic passing we decided to fully restore the car back to its original glory as well as make to 100% what the movie depicted it was. Many companies hopped on board with or project to help us complete this car.

We started off buy pulling the motor (RB25det NEO) and rwd transmission. The front and rear sub frames were also removed. I was able to source a front and rear sub frame pulled from a R34 GT-R V spec in the UK as well as an RB26dett and AWD transmission. OEM GTR front fender were also imported from over seas to help authenticate the exterior cloning process. The rear of the car was impacted during filming so we had to look for a rear clip to bring over so we could cut out and fix all the damage properly. during this process the rear quarters were widened to finish off the full GT-R wide body exterior. This work was done by a local custom and collision body shop here in Wisconsin, Silver Lake Auto Body. The work they did was top notch!

A brand new set of Rotora brakes were made for the car and mounted (6 piston from 4 piston rear). These brakes look amazing and I am very excited to test them out on the track! Toyo Tires helped us out since when i picked up the car i had a completely miss matched set of tires on "stunt" rims. The car is shown with Toyo Proxes in the movie so that is what we got! I am currently still running the stunt wheels but I am looking for an set of 19x11 Volk RE30 rims if anyone has them!?!?!?

Moving back to the motor and drive terrain. The motor is a pretty stock assembly for the time being, just upgraded N1 turbos, N1 water pump, N1 oil pump and a set of Tomei cams. The transmission since converting to AWD we decided to to go with a stand alone style computer system to run the Attessa AWD in the newly converted GT-R. Full Race Motorsports jumped in and got us the ETS pro system to run our AWD transmission. Also very excited to test and tune this on the track!

House of Kolors came through in a big way, They supplied all the materials for this project and perfectly mixed us the BaySide Blue paint to really set this off. They are also the ones showing this car at SEMA this year (SEMA2015)
