After much testing on the 5.5L Bi-Turbo powertrain, including performance package vehicles, here are the updated results from dyno testing of OE Tuning’s ECU tune for the CLS63 AMG Bi-Turbo. The 63 AMG Bi-Turbo powerplant is a 5.5L V8 twin turbo charged monster that responds extremely well to tuning. The vehicle tested was a P89 performance package CLS63 Bi-Turbo running CA91 premium pump gas, no mods. From tuning the ECU, this particular vehicle made +80Hp & +114Tq @3800rpm to the wheels on an independent 2WD Dyno Dynamics dyno when comparing the baseline and tuned runs. Baseline and tuned runs were run consecutively with the same strap down on the same day. The power was rolled into on the particular tuned run pictured below, the car wanted to jump the rollers with such a huge low-end torque gain!
