The Pininfarina-designed Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT, comes equipped with the same dry sump 4.2 L V8 engine as the Coupé, Spyder and the new GranTurismo. A weight distribution of 47% front / 53% rear is achieved by setting the engine further back in the chassis behind the front axle to shift the load back towards the cabin, and the addition of a trans-axle layout sees the gearbox rear-mounted with the differential, make for sportscar like handling.

We recently had the opportunity to dyno test our ecu tune on a 2006 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT. The particular vehicle tested had no modifications, running CA91 pump gas. From testing we saw gains of +24wHp@6800rpm & +23.6wTq@5600, represented in the dynograph below. Major improvements made to throttle response improve the drivability and performance immensely. Once tuned, this vehicle’s exhaust note is music to the ears…..
