    Also know as the Cinquecento, the 500 from Fiat is the first Fiat to come stateside since the Fiat X1-9 of the early ’80s. The 1.4-liter, four-cylinder MultiAir engine is produced in Michigan and puts out 101 hp at 6500 rpm and 98 lbs-ft of torque at 4000 rpm from the factory.
    We recently had the opportunity to dyno test our ECU tune on 2 “Prima” Fiat 500s. Although gains of +5-6wHp and +7-9wTq don’t sound like much, in this compact package the difference is very noticable. The drivability and performance is improved, with better acceleration and throttle response noticed allround.

    The results below are from a 2011 Fiat 500 Prima with Fiat500Speed Cold Air Intake & Catback Exhaust running CA91 premium pump gas.

    From the results seen, the only difference between these cars as far as modifications are concerned is the addition of the leightweight flywheel, which makes a great difference on such a small displacement motor.
