The stripes, hood scoop, rear louvers, rear wing, and front spoiler are all authentic or Ford items appearing on similarly equipped Machs’. The mechanicals have been upgraded to enhance the performance, safety, and reliability without causing “irreversible” changes to the basic car. EFI , overdrive transmissions, and four wheel disc brakes are common to today’s autos and were chosen to augment the cars function and appeal. No complete aftermarket EFI is currently offered for a Ford 351C. I thought it would be fun to see how the “Legendary” Cleveland would respond to more accurate fuel control. In a word “WOW”! Having full control of timing and air fuel ratios has really woken up an already potent mill. The 5 speed lets the engine cruise at highway speeds at 2,300 rpms without the excess noise and fuel consumption.
